Is yearning the one that differentiates

Us from our animal cousins?

We yearn for things or people, ’cause

We know our time is short 

We need to have everything

In order to fill the void that’s life

We yearn for things or people, ’cause

We have regrets

We need to realize all our dreams

In order to save ourselves from answering the “L’appel du vide“

We yearn for things or people, ’cause

We have imagination, for

Imagination is always nicer than reality.
