Wisdom is overrated
Look around the world
One need not be wise to live
Better even to thrive
One could coast through life
With no wisdom whatsoever
One could become powerful
Without an iota of self awareness
Let alone wisdom, who then
Is wisdom for?
It is for those who long
To be remembered in posterity
But when posterity is not a given
Is wisdom of any real value?
It is to pessimistic to look at wisdom as a way of benefit or perceived benefit. It could and should be looked at as a way of guidance for ethics to others and to teach. It will never replace those in power or advantage as that is human nature for some. It is a form of guidance not benefit, a counter to unjust, greed and power to help humanity.
