Is it for giver’s satisfaction or the receiver’s?
Is it a societal pressure?
Is it because you expect the same one day?
Is it to show that you care?
Is it to show you could?
Is it to be part of receiver’s life in someway?
Is it to proclaim to the world that you and the receiver are in good terms?
Is it because we live in a material world?
You know your gifts are going to end up meaningless in long run
Just as meaningless our lives are
Yet we give gifts whenever the need arises
We humans are weird creatures
Following customs just for the heck of it
May be that’s who we are
Creatures born in an indifferent universe
Trying to find meaning with such weird acts
