What’s excitement if not
A short sighted phenomenon
That makes one forget
The eventual ending
Looming forever in background
Yet humans long excitement
For it gives respite
From the utter meaninglessness
Of this dreadful existence
Excitement just as having
Meaningful existence is coping
Mechanism to get through
One’s life in this
Indifferent universe
