principled life – myth or reality?

I was against corruption
Until I had to get my driving license
I was against big tech
Until I needed a smartphone
I was against lying
Until I needed an emergency leave
I was against online shopping
Until I needed my favorite author’s book
I was against working in a harmful industry
Until I needed a job badly
I was against fossil fuels
Until I needed a cheap vehicle
I was against e-readers
Until I found the cost of physical books
Is it possible to lead a life of principles?
Is it me or the surroundings responsible?

PS:
I was against bragging about myself
Until I shared my post online
