Significance of life
Lies in its insignificance
Not all lives are insignificant
Nor do all lives are significant
There’s nothing significant about
A journey towards eventual insignificance
All the little significant milestones
Along the journey are mere respites
From the thought of eventual insignificance
Cherish those milestones if you will
But don’t ever take those to be significant
For in the larger scheme of things
Your significant life is just as significant as
The significant life of a fruit fly
