That was perpetrated in a faraway land
An English mom living a comfortable life
Sheds tears for those children who are
Bombed and starved to death in an unjust war
Why do people relate with those who are completely unrelated
And, in few cases, take extreme measures to protest & show solidarity?
What makes some people feel empathy for the whole world?
All these people live(d) in the same world
Where people are lynched for being “Different”
Where people are petrified and stay “Silent”
Maybe it is these empathetic souls
Who keep the world from devouring itself
And rid of the absurdity that people call as Humanity!!
