Sartre said “Hell is other people”

Hell is not other people

Hell is our “self”

A reflective self is the hell

An indifferent self is no self

The self fights relentless battles

Against the herd of sheep in the world

Only to end up in hell

But a reflective self cherishes this “hell”

At all times, but would never settle

To be among the herd.
