Complete Faith or Utter Hopelessness?

One wonders why people are/do good when one sees

A co-passenger sharing food with someone who failed to order food

A few strangers helping out another stranger to have a seat at a restaurant

An asylum seeker jumping on track to save a person who wants to commit suicide

A person thousands of miles away sending money to save refugees

A stranger voluntarily guides a tourist who strayed off the path

An empathetic person consoling a broken person at train station

A few hundred people coming together to share medical expense of a kid

Are these examples of humanity’s innate goodness (or)

Are these exceptions to be discarded?

Should one choose to have complete faith in humanity or

Should one choose to only believe in utter hopelessness of humanity?
