People say only memories
Matter in the end, that
All of us will end up only being in
Others’ memories
But what does this craving mean?
The craving to live long after death
Humans are so self-centered that
All they could think is about their “immortality”
In the larger scheme of things
Nature treats just as a bag of fleas
Yet humans have this grandiose feel,
That they can live in others’ memories
And they are superior to other species
This superiority will bring its downfall
When the downfall does come
No one will be there to have you
In their memories
